The Little River Sportsman’s Association is a National Rifle Association (NRA), Single Action Shooting Society (SASS), International Defensive Pistol Association (IDPA), Steel Challenge Shooting Association (SCSA) and Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) affiliated gun club dedicated to recreational shooting and shooting sports. This club was established in 1984 with the primary objective of promoting safe and enjoyable shooting opportunities.
Out facilities of the range include
Long Range Rifle Range (600yds) w/4 bench firing points and room for prone shooting:
Rules (Qualification and Safety Rules):
You may shoot:
- centerfire rifles (.338 lapua magnum or smaller)
- at paper targets attached to plywood target backers at 600 yards
- the steel targets at 600 yards
You may not shoot at:
- any target placed on the ground
- with any ammo that damages steel targets (steel core, armor piercing, etc.).
- target using “Kentucky windage.”
- with shotguns
- with handguns
- with fully automatic firearms
- with black powder firearms except those specifically designed for long range shooting.
200yd Rifle Range with 5 firing points and room for prone shooting:
Rules:
- Rimfire or Centerfire Rifles and Handguns in calibers smaller than 50BMG
- Shotguns Birdshot, Buckshot, Slugs
- Black Powder Firearms
- Fully Automatic Firearms
- at paper targets in LRSA target stands at 25, 50, 100 or 200 yards or the LRSA steel targets at 100, 150 or 200 yards
You may not shoot at:
- any target placed on the ground
- targets with Armor-Piercing or Steel Core or any magnum ammunition
- targets using ammunition that damages the targets
Centerfire Range (50yds) with 10 firing points:
Rules:
- Rimfire or Centerfire Rifles and Handguns in calibers no more powerful than .308
- Shotguns Birdshot, Buckshot, Slugs
- Black Powder Firearms
- Fully Automatic Firearms
- at paper targets in LRSA target stands at 15, 25, and 50 yards or the LRSA steel targets at 50 yards
You may not shoot at:
- any target placed on the ground
- with any ammo that damages steel targets (steel core, armor piercing, etc.).
Three different Pistol Ranges with plate racks, assorted steel targets and paper target stands:
Rules:
- Pistol caliber only
- Shotshells #6 or smaller
You may not shoot at:
- targets with rifle ammunition
- with any ammo that damages steel targets (steel core, armor piercing, etc.).
- with fully automatic firearms
- any target placed on the ground
- steel targets less than 10 yards away
Action Pistol Range for SASS, IDPA, Steel Challenge and Steel Plate matches:
Rules:
- Pistol caliber only
- nothing larger than .45ACP or .45 Colt
- No Magnums
- Shotshells #6 or smaller
You may not shoot at:
- targets with rifle ammunition
- with any ammo that damages steel targets (steel core, armor piercing, etc.).
- with fully automatic firearms
- any target placed on the ground
- steel targets less than 10 yards away
The Dr Glen Tucker .22LR Plinking Range with plate racks, assorted steel targets and paper target stands:
Rules:
- .22LR ONLY
- No Magnums
You may not shoot at:
- targets with .22 Magnum
- targets with .17 HMR
- targets with Centerfire Anything
- any target placed on the ground
- steel targets less than 15 yards away
Wobble Trap Range (Equipment Certification Required):
Rules:
- on this range only after being trained or as a guest of a trained member
- Shot shells only
- the steel targets at 600 yards
You may not shoot:
- with buckshot or slugs
- from anywhere within the throwing arc of the wobble trap
- rifles or pistols
- unless you will put all the wobble trap equipment back where it belongs

Turkey Range to pattern your turkey shotgun:
Rules:
- Shotshells only at paper targets attached to the wooden target board
- You may not shoot:
- slugs or buckshot
- pistols or rifles
Archery Lane
Rules:
- Archery/Crossbow equipment only
- only within the archery lane
- only in the downrange direction (from culvert to the west)
- only at commercially available archery targets
- Remove your targets when finished
- 30 minute time limit per group when others are waiting
Pavilion and Fire Pit:
Rules
- First Come, First Served
- Some tables and chairs available
- Reservations accepted, no charge
- Bring your own firewood
- Clean up after yourself
- Take your trash off the range
